<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently and simply differentiating and inducing a bone marrow stromal cell to a skeletal muscle cell with good reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: This method for differentiating and inducing the bone marrow stromal cell to the skeletal muscle cell includes a process (a) for adding one or more substances selected from a group consisting of a cyclic AMP rise acting medicament, a cyclic AMP analog, and a cell differentiation and survival acting factor to a culture of the bone marrow stromal cell (provided that, the bone marrow stromal cell comprises the cell which is not treated with a demethylating agent), so as to culture the cell, a process (b) for introducing a Notch gene and/or a Notch signaling-associated gene into the cell obtained by the process (a) and culturing the cell, so as to obtain a culture of a myoblast (provided that, the culture does not contain a coculture of the cell into which the gene is introduced and the cell into which the gene is not introduced), and a process (c) for adding a Notch ligand to the culture of the myoblast obtained by the process (b) and culturing the myoblast. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
