PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease man-hours for assembling by making an assist grip fixing device fixing an assist grip main body to a vehicle body panel temporary hold a spring energizing the assist grip main body in a retracting direction and a damper braking the energizing force. SOLUTION: The assist grip fixing device 70 is provided with a pair of base members 20 supporting both end portions 11, 12 of the assist grip main body 10. The base member 20 has a pair of opposing bearing portions 32 inserted in a supporting shaft 15 for coupling an opening portion 23 engaging/holding a base end portion 41 of a clip 40 and the assist grip main body 10. A spring 90 is interposed between the bearing portions 32 formed on one base member 20, and a damper 80 is interposed between the bearing portions 32 formed on the other base member 20. The spring 90 and the damper 80 are temporary held between an extending portion 68 extending from a cover 60 equipped to the base member 20 and the base member 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
