PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment which reduces an information transmission amount specifying a modulation system in the case of selecting the modulation system suitable for each subcarrier corresponding to a propagation environment, and is not affected even if a transmission error is generated at the time of the transfer of information relating to the modulation system so much. SOLUTION: A modulation system specifying information generation part 216 generates reference modulation system information and subcarrier modulation system selection information indicating the modulation system for each subcarrier from signal quality for each subcarrier measured by a signal quality estimation part 215 and the error determination information of an error determination part 211, and sends them to a transmission part 217. The reference modulation system information is composed of 2 to 3 bits and indicates a reference modulation system to be a reference. The subcarrier modulation system selection information is constituted of a bit string in which each subcarrier corresponds to 1 bit and indicates whether the modulation system of each subcarrier is the same modulation system as the reference modulation system or the modulation system of a multivalue number which is one stage less than that by the 1 bit.
