<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring system by which maintenance and inspection of a monitoring target facility and analysis of the causes of abnormalities can be easily and accurately executed. <P>SOLUTION: Measurement data for a prescribed period of time stored in a storage 71 for storing measurement data, moving image data for a prescribed period of time stored in a storage 72 for storing image data, and a base point time stored in a storage part 73 for storing a base point time, are distributed to a terminal 8 via a network 10. The terminal 8 stores the measurement data, the moving image data, and the base point time received via the network 10. The terminal 8 attaches a cursor showing the time axis on the basis of the stored base point time so that a user can know the temporal correspondence relation between the received measurement data and moving image data. The stored measurement data for a prescribed period of time are reproduced and displayed in a measurement data reproduction area of a monitor 82.
