PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic metronome that is reduced in cost and which can reduce timing errors for putting in the beats. SOLUTION: Sound information for putting in beat is recorded on a ROM 40. Further, the sound information from a sound source 10 is recorded on an input data buffer 20, and furthermore, output data buffers 30A and 30B are alternately recorded. The frequency of interruption to the output data buffers 30A and 30B is counted by a tempo controller 50. When the predetermined frequency of the interruption is reached, sound information on beat recorded on the ROM 40 is added to the sound information recorded on the output data buffer 30 and is outputted outside.
