PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing case with a simple shape and at a low cost which can be generally used for optical devices with various shapes. SOLUTION: The packing case 7 is constituted of a general-purpose tray 9 storing the optical device 8, an upper lid 10 and a bottom plate 11. The back surface of the general-purpose tray 9 is applied with two pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes 13 by a predetermined width so as to be be looked from a window 12 provided on the general-purpose tray 9. The optical device 8 is stuck on adhesive faces of the two sheets of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes 13 so as not to be caught with the effective diameter of the optical face of the optical device 8. Therefore, by constituting the packing case 7 as shown by a first example, even when the packing case 7 is vibrated, there exists no possibility of generating dust by bringing the optical device 8 into contact with the general-purpose tray 9, and making the optical device 8 fall down as the optical device 8 is placed flat to eliminate the need for a guide for preventing falling down.
