Pumpable mixture (A), for the production of fermented meat product, comprises at least: fat and/or oil and microorganism culture (where the mixture exhibits a viscosity of at least 600 mPas-1> at 20[deg]C and a water activity of less than approximately 0.80). Independent claims are also included for: (1) preparing the fermented meat product comprising mixing (A) with preferably minced meat material and processing the received product to a meat commodity; and (2) a fermented meat commodity obtained by the method.
