PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency heating device not imparting a nuisance to a third person due to sound particularly at late night hours by silencing a signaling sound (a buzzer, or a melody) such as a heating completion sound in consideration of daily life noise or the like. SOLUTION: The heating device is provided with a heating chamber 2 for placing food (a), a door 3 opening and closing an opening of the heating chamber 2, an interior light 4 illuminating a heating chamber 2 interior, a display 7 provided in an operation panel 5 of a front face of a body 1 and displaying heating contents or the like, a backlight 6 illuminating the display 7 from the rear, and a signal generating device 11 issuing a signaling sound at key input of a heating setting, heating completion, or the like.
