PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 6 speeds power train of an automatic transmission in which torque borne by each clutch is reduced to improve the endurance of each clutch, thus allowing a total length of a transmission to be minimized. SOLUTION: There is provided the 6 speeds power train of the automatic transmission. The six-speeds power train of the automatic transmission has the following structure. A first sun gear is fixed to a transmission case. One of a first planetary gear and first ring gear is fixedly connected with an input shaft. A second sun gear is fixedly connected with a member not fixedly connected with an input shaft. A second planetary carrier and a third planetary carrier are fixedly connected with each other. A third ring gear is variably connected with a second ring gear. The third sun gear is variably connected with the member not fixedly connected with the input shaft. A third ring gear is variably connected with the input shaft. The third sun gear is variably connected with the transmission case. The third planetary carrier operates as an output element.
