PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery and electronic equipment advantageous for thinning a battery storage chamber of the electronic equipment. SOLUTION: A case 10 of a battery 2 is formed into a flat rectangular plate shape, and an engagement wall 1002 projecting outward in the width direction and extending in the longitudinal direction is provided on the two side faces 10E of the case. The engagement wall 1002 is provided at a part of each of the side faces 10E positioned nearer toward a top face 10C or a bottom face 10D to a center portion in the thickness direction of the side face 10E. The position of a connector 30 in the thickness direction of a front face 10A is determined with respect to the faces that the engagement walls 1002 of the right and left side faces 10E are faced upward or downward. In the present invention, the face wich is the reference of the position of the connector 30 in the thickness direction is the face 1002A that the engagement wall 1002 is faced downward.
