PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for sterilizing and filling a liquid capable of sterilizing the liquid to be treated containing solid ingredients at a constant high pressure within a sterilizer and filling it under a low pressure in a filling apparatus to prevent the solid ingredients in the liquid from being damaged. SOLUTION: A liquid pressure reducing tank capable of receiving the liquid while maintaining the pressurized condition of the liquid in the sterilizer and also reducing the pressure of the pressurized liquid in the sterilizer, is provided in a conduit between the sterilizer and the filling apparatus.
