PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a conductive polymer solution, by which the conductive polymer soluble in general organic solvents such as MEK and toluene and having excellent conductivity and dissolution stability can be obtained. SOLUTION: This method for producing the conductive polymer solution comprises dissolving the following component (A) in solvents containing a solvent having a dissolution parameter of 8.0 to 10.0 as a main component, adding the following components (B) and (C) to the solution, emulsifying the mixture to introduce a sulfonic acid structure originated from the component (A) in the monomer of the component (B), and polymerizing the monomer of the component (B) introduced in the sulfonic acid structure. (A) Aπ-electron non-conductive polymer having at least one kind of sulfonic functional groups selected from sulfonic groups and sulfonate groups and having a number-average mol.wt. of 4,000 to 100,000 and a sulfonic functional group content of 0.3 to 0.5 mmol/g.
