A hot melt adhesive based on olefin copolymer(s) and tackifying resin also contains 1-40 wt% homo- and/or co-polymer(s) based on ethylene and/or propylene and modified with aromatic components. A hot melt adhesive (I) containing (a) 1-40 wt% homo- and/or co-polymer(s) based on ethylene and/or propylene and modified with aromatic components, (b) 5-80 wt% other non-aromatically modified olefin copolymer(s) based on ethylene and/or propylene and 4-20C alpha -olefins and obtained by metallocene-catalysed polymerisation, (c) 5-60 wt% tackifying resin(s), (d) 0-40 wt% other polymers and (e) 0-40 wt% additives.
