<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless DC motor driving circuit, which is possible of easy rotation control such as the start, rotation, and stoppage of a motor, the control of revolution, etc. with a simple configuration of circuit, without using PWM circuits or special motor driving ICs corresponding to PWM control for the two or more output stages of a motor control circuit, and a fan motor using it. <P>SOLUTION: This brushless DC motor driving circuit is equipped with a motor coil 1 which generates torque in a shaft rotating direction in a magnet rotor which has a plurality of magnetic poles and is supported rotatably, a Hall element 2 which detects the rotational position of the rotor magnet, and a motor controller 3 which controls the energizing current of the motor coil 1, making use of the output signal of the Hall element 2. A switching element is connected to the input part of the Hall element 2 and it is driven by a PWM signal. This driving circuit inputs a signal, which is obtained by modulating a rotational position signal outputted from the output part of the Hall element 2 by a PWM signal, into the motor controller 3 thereby performing the rotation control of the magnet rotor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
