<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a coated paper for inkjet recording with excellent white paper surface gloss and excellent suitability for inkjet recording (printing), a coating liquid used in this manufacturing method and the coated paper for inkjet recording manufactured by the manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing the cast coated paper for inkjet recording, a coating layer for casting is formed by applying to the surface of an undercoat base paper with an undercoat coating layer containing a pigment and an adhesive, a coating liquid containing a polymer emulsion which contains a polymer compound (A) showing hydrophilic nature in a temperature region not higher than a temperature-sensing point and hydrophobic nature in a temperature region above the temperature-sensing point and an γ-alumina. In addition, the coating layer is brought into contact under pressure with a heated mirror surface drum while the coating layer is wet and the wet coating layer is dried.
