Method and device for controlling a matrix plasma screen

The method involves sequentially selecting rows of a matrix, and non-simultaneously deselecting a set of columns of the matrix for a selected row, where the columns are previously selected during selection of a previous row. A deselection signal is delivered to the columns in response to a deselection control signal, where the selected columns are deselected by simultaneous reception of deselection control signals. An independent claim is also included for a plasma display screen comprising a plasma matrix having rows and columns of cells.
