A slide valve for a bottom-pouring ladle comprises a refractory ring 7 associated with a frusto-conical bush 11 formed with aperture 5 and resting on a fixed, horizontal refractory plate 23 with aperture 32, and a slide valve 16 operated manually, pneumatically or hydraulically by a device 17. The valve comprises a. refractory slide 18 associated with a teeming spout 28 and set in a metal frame 19 sliding in a guide 25 removably attached to a frame 15 by screws 26. Frame 15 is attached to the ladle casing 2 by screws 14. The bush 11 is made of high-quality refractory and several bushes with different sizes of aperture 5 may be used with one ring 7 and replaced from below. |
