PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display medium with a memory property which has improved optical characteristics, especially a contrast ratio. SOLUTION: The display medium comprises at least one base material and constituting layers including a liquid crystal layer comprising a binder and a liquid crystal composition dispersed in the binder, wherein at least one layer of the constituting layers comprises a plate crystal having an average aspect ratio of 10-500.
