<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and correctly perform a diagnosis, based on a thermal image by forming an overall solid image data compositing a stereoscopic thermal image data and a visible stereoscopic image data in an object. <P>SOLUTION: An image compositing apparatus 200 has a slit means comprising two or more slits, an infrared irradiation means of irradiating infrared radiation through this slit means at an object 213, two or more infrared cameras 201-204 which image the object 213, locating in the direction which substantially intersects perpendicularly with the direction of the infrared radiation in the object 213, and image compositing means 205, 206 to form stereoscopic thermal image data, by compositing from two or more thermal image data 221-224 outputted from two or more infrared cameras 201-204.
