<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film capable of suppressing the coloring of a display image and displaying an image having a slight amount of gradation-inverted region even when a display image is seen from the oblique direction with respect to the normal direction of a screen. <P>SOLUTION: The laminated optical film is constituted by laminating: an optical film (1) in which the coefficient Nz expressed by the relation, Nz=(nx<SB>1</SB>-nz<SB>1</SB>)/(nx<SB>1</SB>-ny<SB>1</SB>), satisfies the relation, 0≤Nz≤1, when the direction allowing a refractive index in the film surface to be maximum is X-axis, the direction vertical to X-axis is Y-axis, the thickness direction of the film is Z-axis and refractive indexes in respective axial directions are nx<SB>1</SB>, ny<SB>1</SB>, nz<SB>1</SB>; an optical film (2) which is made of a material exhibiting optically negative uniaxial property and comprises a part made by obliquely aligning the material; and an optical film (3) which satisfies the relation, nx<SB>3</SB>≥ny<SB>3</SB>>nz<SB>3</SB>, when the direction allowing a refractive index in the film surface to be maximum is X-axis, the direction vertical to X-axis is Y-axis, the thickness direction of the film is Z-axis and the refractive indexes in respective axial directions are nx<SB>3</SB>, ny<SB>3</SB>, nz<SB>3</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
