<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly and easily lay a variety of kinds of cables or the like, to a spiral cable hanger. <P>SOLUTION: This self-traveling cable traction device has a structure that comprises a device body 3 that travels within the spiral cable hanger 11 supported to a support wire 27 and is long in the fore-and-aft direction; a pair of right and left endless track bands 9, that endlessly turn in the fore-and-aft direction along the device body 3 by power from a drive part M; a body leading guide 5 that is arranged at the front end of the device body 3 and extended toward the front upper side; and a cable-attaching part 7 that is arranged at the rear end of the device body 3 and installs a variety of kinds of the cables 79 or the like.
