摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having a high capacity and a long life by retaining a strong jointing at an interface of a current collector and a high capacity negative electrode material and by preventing falling-off and separation from the current collector caused by pulverization of the high capacity negative electrode.

SOLUTION: The negative electrode for lithium secondary battery is composed of a first active material layer 2 consisting of a compound particulate formed directly on the current collector 1 without containing a binder, and a second active material layer 3 formed on the first active material layer using the binder, and the first active material layer contains the compound particulate.
