<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly manage progress of writing of a content into an optical medium in real time. <P>SOLUTION: The writing of the content into the optical medium 3 is performed by use of the encrypted content and a decryption key for decrypting the encrypted content while managing the progress of the writing of the content into the optical medium 3 by update of status. First, in advance of a start of a writing session of the optical medium 3, status is changed from status '1' (writing non-execution) to status '2' (a writing execution start). After the change to the status '2' is completed, the encrypted content is decrypted by use of the decryption key, and the content is written into the optical medium 3. In advance of completion of the writing session of the optical medium 3, the status is changed from the status '2' to status '3' (writing execution completion).
