A process for the production of jellylike drinks, characterized by comprising the mixing step of mixing a powdery gelling agent with a sweetening agent (I) to prepare a mixed powder and the dissolution step (I) of dissolving the mixed powder in water at 80°C or below. This process can dispense with special manufacturing facilities for keeping a high temperature exceeding 80°C, is freed from the formation of lumps, and brings about an enhancement in production efficiency. According to the process, further, a high temperature exceeding 80°C is not required in dissolving a gelling agent, so that the decomposition of the gelling agent is inhibited, and the obtained products little release water even after the lapse of time and thus can keep stable appearance and performance over a long period. |
