PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a reproduction characteristic at a small sound volume of a signal loudspeaker. SOLUTION: When correction processing is applied to a received audio signal for outputting the audio signal from a loudspeaker with a prescribed input output characteristic and when the prescribed input output characteristic of the loudspeaker indicates that the linearity of an output level with respect to the input signal is almost ensured when the level of the input signal is a prescribed level or over and that the output level gets lower with respect to the input signal when its level is the prescribed level or below, an audio signal processing apparatus applies the correction processing to the signal components of the received audio signal whose level is almost a prescribed level or below so as to compensate the deceased amount of the output level and applies the correction processing to the signal components to compensate the decreased amount of the output level for at least a plurality of variable stages.
