PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress engine stall by automatically opening and closing a fuel shut off valve according to a open close condition of an open close door covering a filling opening and preventing a vehicle from traveling under a condition where the fuel shut off valve is closed. SOLUTION: A fuel filling device for the vehicle comprises the fuel shut off valve 6 which is an open close valve installed in a fuel supply route 3 supplying gas fuel to the engine 2 from a fuel tank 1, a fuel filling passage 10 provided with a gas fuel filling opening 9 on one end and having another end connected to the fuel supply route 3 between the fuel tank 1 and the fuel shut off valve 6, the open close door 14 covering the filling opening 9, an open close door switch 15 detecting the open close condition of the open close door 14, and a control device closing the fuel shut off valve 6 when the open close door switch 15 detects open of the open close door 14, and opening the fuel shut off valve 6 when the open close door switch 15 detects close of the open close door 14.
