PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater for preventing condensation from forming on a window pane that is usable for a variety of window panes having different widths. SOLUTION: The heater 1 comprises: a first heat generation unit 2 formed by fixing a first band plate-like body 2a and a third band plate-like body 2b to a first main connector portion 2c at the left end thereof and also fixing the same to a first subsidiary connector portion 2d at the right end thereof; and a second heat generation unit 3 formed by fixing a second band plate-like body 3a and a fourth band plate-like body 3b to a second main connector portion 3c at the right end thereof and also fixing the same to a second subsidiary connector portion 3d at the left end thereof. The second band plate-like body 3a and the fourth band plate-like body 3b are slidably inserted through through-holes 2d1, 2d2 of the first subsidiary connector portion 2d, and the first band plate-like body 2a and the third band plate-like body 2b are also slidably inserted through a through-hole of the second subsidiary connector portion 3d.
