PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device permitting to attain higher integration, increased capacity, and miniaturization while relaxing accuracy requirements for components. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk device of this invention holds a magnetic disk between a receiving member and a pressing member and holds the disk so that it can rotate, and is characterized in that the receiving member is in line contact with the magnetic disk surface on the circumference centering the axis of rotation of the magnetic disk.
