PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous telomerization method with which a conjugated diene compound is reacted with alcohols to afford an alcohol addition product having high terminal regioselectivity (straight chain selectivity) with high productivity. SOLUTION: A reaction is carried out in the presence of a palladium compound, isocyanides represented by general formula (I) R<SP>1</SP>NC (I) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>denotes a tertiary alkyl group which may be substituted) and a tertiary amine when the telomerization reaction of the conjugated diene compound with the alcohols is conducted.
