PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for reducing the number of rollers in a printer. SOLUTION: A switch back unit U4 is provided on a conveyance path from a magazine housing section 2 to a printing section 4. The switch back unit U4 is constituted of a pair of rollers 41 for receiving print paper P fed from the conveyance path at the upstream side to hold it and a moving mechanism for displacing the pair of rollers 41 between a receiving position and a forwarding position. A drive roller 41a of the pair of rollers 41 can be rotationally driven around a central shaft in the forward and backward directions. The receiving and pulling of the print paper P from the conveyance path at the upstream side, and the outputting of the print paper P to the conveyance path at the downstream side and feeding of the print paper P to the printing section 4 can be respectively carried out by the forward and backward rotations of the drive roller 41a.
