HEAT-BONDING COVERING ELASTIC YARN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING STRETCHABLE LAMINATED SHEET FOR HYGIENIC MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-bonding covering elastic yarn excellent in an unreeling property from a wound body, capable of readily bonding fabrics or sheet materials such as nonwoven fabrics without applying an adhesive to the fabrics or the sheets and suitable as an elastic yarn for stretchable composite sheets for hygienic materials. SOLUTION: The heat-bonding covering elastic yarn is obtained by covering a polyurethane-based elastic fiber yarn with a thermally bondable polyamide-based filament yarn and contains 35-90 wt.% polyurethane-based elastic fiber. The method for producing the stretchable laminated sheet for hygienic materials comprises keeping the heat-bonding covering elastic yarn in stretched state and inserting the yarn into a space between sheets and heating the sheets to 120-190°C to thermally bond the sheets.
