PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radial tire for a motorcycle equipped with an enhanced cornering performance and driving stability without impairing the comfortableness. SOLUTION: The radial tire 2 for the motorcycle is equipped with a tread 4, side walls 6, a bead part 8, carcass 10, and a belt 12. The belt 12 lies on the outside in radial direction of the carcass 10 and is furnished with a first belt ply 32, a second belt ply 34, and a third belt ply 36. The ratio L1/LT lies between 0.30-0.60 including the limits, where L1 represents the circumferential length of the first belt ply 32 and LT does the circumferential length of the tread 4 on the section including the tire axis.
