PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem such that since in a water intake tool of a patent application no.2001-246305, a water intake tool main body (1) is fixed, there is only a small width for coping with the time of the increase or decrease of water surface (6). SOLUTION: This water intake tool is provided by covering the water intake tool main body (1) with a float (15) and installing the tool at a slightly lower than the water surface. By stabilizing the amount of the surface layer water (8) flowing in, which is unstable at the times of increasing or decreasing water level, the capacity range of the water intake tool becomes wider and its effect is also exhibited up to its maximum limit.
