The coupling unit has two connection beams (3, 8) connecting two tandem wind surfing boards (4, 5) to form a quadratic or rectangular structure. A point-to-point connection is achieved at a rear end of the surfing boards to provide longitudinal positioning for the boards. The boards are connected with longer spacing surfing poles at their prows by rolling hitch or clove hitch such that the boards are distanced apart from each other.
