<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To peel a cover tape always adequately irrelevantly to its adhesive strength and peeling quantity. <P>SOLUTION: A tape feeder which exposes a stored component at a component taking-out part 37 by peeling the cover tape 34 halfway while intermittently sending out a carrier tape 33 comprising a carrier tape 33 containing the component and the cover tape 34 stuck thereupon guides the cover tape 34 to between a couple of take-up gears 52a and 52b driven by a take-up motor 44 to rotate to take up and peel the cover tape 34 as the couple of gears 52a and 52b rotate.
