PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device capable of improving an operation feeling of a vehicle, by enabling an engine to exhibit torque corresponding to an operational intention of a rider, by controlling engine torque in response to the operational intention of the rider, when operating a clutch. SOLUTION: This engine control device is mounted on the vehicle having the clutch, and takes out motive power via the clutch, and is characterized in that a main microcomputer 1 includes an operation information acquiring part 14 for acquiring operation information by the rider of the vehicle, and a torque control part 16 for operating the engine in a predetermined torque reduction state in a period corresponding to the operation information acquired by the operation information acquiring part 14 in engagement-disengagement operation of the clutch.
