PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a grease trap cleaning method which dispenses with regular recovery work of an oil and fat content and cleaning work, and does not increase a load on the environment. SOLUTION: According to the grease trap cleaning method, by setting an ultrasonic generator and an air diffuser pipe communicating with an ozonizer, in the existing grease trap, ozone gas contained in bubbles carries out oxidative decomposition of organic matter including an oil and fat content by virtue of oxidizing power of the ozone gas, and oscillation waves generated by the ultrasonic generator function to enhance contact efficiency to enhance decomposition efficiency. Further the oscillation waves function to effectively re-distribute undecomposed matter which is likely to settle on a bottom of each separation chamber, by virtue of sewage convection caused by gas elevating from the air diffuser pipe and vibration waves generated by the ultrasonic generator, to thereby eliminate settlement of the undecomposed matter.
