PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-friction-producing body which increases frictional force between mutually contacting members, improves the reliability for force transmission and operatability, facilitates transportation, and reduces a facility cost. SOLUTION: The high friction producing body 3 comprises: a binder 4 with toughness bonded on the abutting surface of a base metal of either one member of the first member 1 and the second member W which contact with each other; and a high-hardness particle 5 with a hardness capable of being plastically deformed by pressurizing force when being abutted to the other member, so as to be exposed to form the abutting surface which is closer to the other member than the surface of the binder 4 is.
