<p>The method involves forming a stack of panels at inlet of a buffer zone (2), where each panel has a base in which workpieces (3) coming from an upstream conveyor (4) are arranged. The stacks are stored in a storage zone (11) defined at the level of the zone (2) for supplying the pieces to a downstream conveyor (5). The conveyor (5) is supplied by removing the pieces from the base to arrange in the conveyor (5), at outlet of the zone (2).
