FIELD: oil production industry, particularly methods to prevent pipe freezing in water injection well head. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves injecting oil in well for water displacement to zone having positive ground temperature via pipes after scheduled stoppage of water supply into pipes and fittings of well head; draining oil from well head pipes and accumulating oil in reserve vessel before repeated water injection operation beginning so that the oil may be reused during following scheduled stoppage of water-supply. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency of well head freezing prevention during scheduled stoppage of water-supply in cyclic water-flooding regime. ^ 1 ex
