FIELD: processing of plastics, in particular, production of products from powdered polytetrafluoroethylene, applicable in manufacture of movable reciprocating packing components of friction pairs in various branches of engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: the method consists in pressing of powdered polytetrafluoroethylene, sintering and cooling. Then, the sintered bars are heated at a temperature of 643+-5K up to melt in restricting mandrels without pressure.
