PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk loading device and a disk drive which can perform the positioning with respect to the axial direction of a disk before the disk is conveyed to a clamp position, irrespective of the diameter of the disk. SOLUTION: There is provided a second arm swing regulation means consisting of engagement pawls 72R and 72L for regulating the swing of ejection guides 50R and 50L, in response to the positions of hold levers 30R and 30L swung in connection with the swing of loading arms 20R and 20L, and first switching holes 53R and 53L of the ejection guides 50R and 50L with which the engagement pawls 72R and 72L are engaged. When the disk DL is inserted, the loading arms 20R and 20L are swung. When the disk DS is inserted, the loading arms 20R and 20L are hardly swung. The engagement between the engagement pawls 72R and 72L and the first switching holes 53R and 53L is maintained by the hold levers 30R and 30L, and the swing of the ejection guides 50R and 50L is regulated.
