<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery capable of keeping an initial capacity even if a charge-discharge cycle is repeated and having an excellent cycle characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte for an electrochemical device is produced by dissolving an electrolyte in a nonaqueous solvent. (1) The nonaqueous solvent is a mixture of chain carbonic ester, saturated cyclic carbonate, and unsaturated cyclic carbonate; (2) the electrolyte is lithium salt dissolving in the nonaqueous solvent; and (3) the electrolyte contains a chain isocyanato compound represented by a general formula (I) and/or a formula (II). In the formulas, X is hydrogen, halogen, an isocyanato group or 1-20C aliphatic hydrocarbon; Y is O, SO<SB>2</SB>or 1-20C aliphatic hydrocarbon; and Z is hydrogen, halogen, an isocyanato group, 1-20C aliphatic hydrocarbon or 6-20C aromatic hydrocarbon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
