PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail transfer device capable of simplifying the reception rejection registration operation of an end user and easily constructing an effective filtering system. SOLUTION: A text URL extraction part 12 extracts an URL provided in the text of e-mail and transfers it to an intra-URL unrequired code deletion part 14, and a destination mail address extraction part 13 extracts a destination mail address from the e-mail and transfers it to an URL comparison part 15. The intra-URL unrequired code deletion part 14 deletes unrequired special characters from the URL and transfers it to the URL comparison part 15. The URL comparison part 15 acquires URL category information from a URL category information data base 15 for each user on the basis of the destination mail address, acquires URL data belonging to the URL category from an URL data base 16 for each category, and compares the URL data with the URL from which the special characters are deleted in the intra-URL unrequired code deletion part 14.
