PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus and a printing method, making a no-margin print on the whole surface of recording paper without providing a paper feed roller before and after an image forming part and even in the case of providing a paper feed roller either in the front or in rear of the image forming part. SOLUTION: After a first printing process of printing a region outside of a range passing through an image forming part 1 or 12 without conveying force applied by a conveying means 4 or 15 on one end (Pa or Pb) side of the recording paper P, a second printing process of inverting the longitudinal direction in the conveying direction of the recording paper by a rotating means 5 or 25, and subsequently printing the region outside of the range passing the image forming part without conveying force applied by the conveying means at the other end side of the recording paper is performed to print the recording paper.
