METHOD FOR PRODUCING MANGANESE FERROALLOY FROM BY-PRODUCT SLAG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably producing manganese ferroalloy with high efficiency from molten slag which is generated as a byproduct at the production of ferromanganese.

SOLUTION: The molten slag as a byproduct at the production of ferromanganese is stored in a reactor vessel. A reducing material containing silicon-containing ferroalloy and metal aluminum is put into the above molten slag to undergo agitation so as to reduce at least a part of manganese oxides contained in the molten slag.
