PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper cutting device for cutting paper sheets stacked in layers on a table, which efficiently cut the papers without leaving any uncut part and can improve the tool life of a cutter blade. SOLUTION: The paper cutting device has a paper presser 2 descending from the upper side along a guide, and a cutter 3 ascending from the lower side. A paper press mechanism for the paper presser 2 screws a nut with a screw rotated by a motor 10, and connects the nut through the paper presser 2 and links 5a, 5b. The cutter 3 is mounted to the guides 15a, 15b forming inclined guide grooves 16a, 16b, a stopper is mounted on both sides of the paper presser 2, and stopper abutting parts 8, 8 are formed on both sides of a holder 30 of the cutter 3. The stopper abutting parts 8, 8 abut on the stopper at the place where the cutter 3 ascends and reaches the position at a predetermined height. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
