PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slip-preventing method in a sizing press by which the slip in the sizing press is prevented. SOLUTION: In this method for preventing large slip in the sizing press, further adhesion of scale to a die is prevented and large slip in the sizing press is prevented by changing jetting time of cooling water 5 after finishing the rolling of the material with a controller 7 by deciding that the scale is to be adhered to the die by monitoring the rotation of front and rear feed rollers 6 during rolling with the sizing press at all times, counting the number of reversals of the feed rollers, detecting a fine slip ( micro slip ) in the case this number exceeds a stipulated number.
