<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system, which can authenticate document files circulated within a network, its method, an authentication apparatus and programs. <P>SOLUTION: A workflow server 2 displays information that an application user terminal 1 is applied for data approval on an approval user terminal 3. The workflow server 2 configures access information to the apparatus itself and identification information to identify the data for the data applied with approval, and then locks it.
