SMEAR COMPENSATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smear compensator which is not easily influenced by noise of a specific OB line without depending on a result of motion detection. SOLUTION: An initial circulation coefficient calculation means 13 calculates an initial circulation coefficient from the value of the OB line acquired by an OB line acquisition means and the value of a line memory 12. A circulation coefficient calculation means 14 calculates a circulation coefficient of the current OB line from the circulation coefficient of the previous OB line so as to equalize weighting of respective OB lines. A circulation processing means 15 combines the acquired value of the OB line and the value of the line memory 12 in accordance with the calculated circulation coefficient to update the line memory 12. When processing to all OB lines is completed, a smear area detection means 16 detects an smear generation area from the value of the line memory 12 and performs smear correction in the smear area detected by a smear correction means 17.
